Bioforce is a biological filter: The filters act as a mechanical strainer for debris and clumps of algae, removing these from the pond, but they also create a home for billions of beneficial natural bacteria which digest pollutant chemicals in the water as it passes over them. These biological filters contain media with a large surface area to provide a habitat for very high concentrations of beneficial bacteria. Bioforce is pressurized: after exiting the filter, the water can be run to the top of a waterfall if desired. Simple to install: the high inlet and outlet fittings allow the Bioforce to be buried up to its lid next to the pond, leaving only a relatively small portion exposed. Use Bioforce with an appropriate Titan solids-handling pump for best results. Many years of development and testing went into Bioforce, and its market-leading performance ensured it quickly became accepted as a winner in all levels of the trade. In response to useful feedback several improvements have been introduced for 2002. More graded-foam layers, Biomedia, and a bayonet-style release rather than screws on some models make Bioforce even more efficient, reliable and easy to use.
